It’s almost Christmas!!!

Well, we have been pretty busy getting ready for Christmas in our house!!!  Yesterday was a day full of baking which ended in the entire family going to see “It’s a Wonderful Life” at the movie theater.  Today has been about decorating cookies, finishing any last minute gift buying and tonight we’ll wrap!!!

PJ has been working really hard at moving across the room.  When we get back from Christmas vacation he will begin going to threrapy four times a week!!!  I know it seems like a lot but I drive by the clinic everyday when I go to get my diet coke so now I will just stop and sit and enjoy it while he plays!!!  He saw Santa at the YMCA on Friday and wanted nothing to do with him.  Santa walked right up to him with bells and tried to get his attention and he just looked and then used his legs to turn himself around so he couldn’t see him anymore!!!

Our family gets a special treat at Christmas Even mass tomorrow night.  Every year our church picks one first grader to bring up
baby Jesus at the beginning of mass and lay Him in the manger.  This year Ben gets to do it!!!  It’s such an honor and he is so excited.  They are reserving the front pew for us and told me to bring a camera!!!

The kids are all on Christmas break and have been great.  It’s so nice to have no schedules, no lunches to pack or homework to check.  But now when I start to feel like our lives are too busy with their activities I will have to remember all of those sweet children who lost their lives in Connecticut.  Each day we have our children is a blessing.  My mom told me after I had Alex that he wasn’t “my” baby.  He was God’s baby and was only on loan to me.  We never know when God will want our babies back.  I thank God everyday for the five beautiful boys he has given to David and I.  I am amazed by all of them!!!

It’s going to be a great Christmas!!!

Sounds like Christmas in your home is hectic but beautiful. How wonderful that Ben gets to take up the Baby Jesus. What an honor. Not surprised PJ didn’t want anything to do with Santa. He can be scary to little ones. Both Briana and Brandon were also afraid of him. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Health New year.
